Tace, aut dic melius silentio

Many years ago I was visiting the Benedictine monastery at Hautcombe in France. In the cloakroom, where the monks  come back to the monastery after working in the fields, I found this sign on the wall. It reads: Be quiet or say something better than silence. An excellent policy in all places, but even more excellent on blogs.

  1. Thank you.

  2. theses poems remind me, in their form, of `Omni die dic Mariae Mea laudes anima:` St. Bernard`s 50 verses in praise of Mary.
